The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts

OVERVIEW:

The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts (the “Sandler Center”) in Virginia Beach, VA., attracts both visitors and local residents throughout the year. Known for its intimate concerts and Broadway performances, the Sandler Center wanted to promote ticket sales and draw visitors from out of town.

STRATEGY:

To increase ticket sales, Comcast Spotlight recommended the venue advertise across Premium Digital TV and Premium Digital Video to extend its reach and exposure frequency to customers in the Richmond market. To reach desired viewers, the Sandler Center advertised on a broad mix of networks including AMC, CNN, Food Network, FX, and Travel across advertising zones within a 30-mile radius of the venue. The Sandler Center also utilized its “Plan Your Trip” web page and various social media posts to help promote upcoming shows. Additionally, hotels throughout the area helped promote upcoming events to get the message out.

SUCCESS:

The Sandler Center increased ticket sales in the Richmond market by 169% and earned a spot as one of the city’s top 10 overall ticket sellers for promoted events.
