Metropolitan York Police Testing Consortium

OVERVIEW:

The success of any organization is dependent on the quality of its people. That may be no truer than when it comes to the brave men and women of our community's police departments, and that's why the Metropolitan York Police Testing Consortium turned to Comcast Spotlight to help them recruit qualified candidates both from the York, PA, area and surrounding communities.

STRATEGY:

To bolster recruitment and reach a larger pool of applicants, the media plan focused on engagement in targeted markets. The multi-screen effort included TV commercials and online advertising on Xfinity.com across South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. Top cable networks included in the plan included Comedy Central, Bravo, BET, ESPN 2, E!, MTV, Spike, VH1, NFL Network and TBS. The campaign drove candidates directly to the Consortium's website. This allowed prospective applicants to obtain an on-line application and find more information on the Consortium and the examination process.

SUCCESS:

  • 519 applications received
  • 386,000+ online impressions generated 566 click-throughs to the Consortium website
  • 1,600+ television commercials
