With two locations, Homestead Garden Centers of Davidsonville and Severna Park, MD, was looking to increase foot traffic and sales and to build its brand in those areas. The company needed to show the wide range of products the stores carry, and given the seasonal nature of gardening, that inventory was always changing.

STRATEGY:

Homestead Garden Center's television advertisements focused on unique seasonal offers targeted to the stores' markets, enticing potential customers to visit. Complementary online banner advertising was carefully designed to convey an inviting, family-friendly tone, creating confidence through familiarity.

SUCCESS:

  • Net sales during a holiday campaign increased 6.7%.
  • During the holiday campaign, the company had more than 21,300 website visitors; more than 76% were new visitors.
  • The holiday campaign delivered more than 450,000 online impressions and more than 860 click throughs
