Antonio's Pizza and Deli

Overview:

To generate foot traffic in a competitive market, and restore business lost to the economic downturn, Antonio's Pizza & Deli of Waterbury, CT, wanted to stand apart from those other competitors. Rather than simply show what they offered, Antonio's opted to make customers feel like they were part of the restaurant's extended family, and engage them with a unique experience.

Strategy:

Comcast Spotlight crafted a custom campaign that was specifically designed to tie into programming that would reach a broad audience, with a particular emphasis on men, through original series like Sons of Anarchy and sporting events. Adding advertising on Xfinity.com, including the ability to click to access a coupon, increased frequency and added additional targeted impressions. The combined multi-screen campaign resonated with customers: according to Antonio's, customers came in to their restaurant daily mentioning the advertisements.

Success:

  • 90% of revenue lost to recession recovered.
  • Website traffic increased 5%.
