A&E’s Neighbors with Benefits follows a community in Ohio where couples are extra-“friendly” with each other - but according to Shelly Tatro, SVP, development and programming, the practice isn’t as out-there as you might think. “Swinging is certainly going on behind many closed doors in America,” Tatro tells Cynopsis. “We’re excited to give viewers a peek inside this growing subculture. The show features average married couples who on the surface appear to be living regular lives with their families, while participating in this alternative lifestyle on the side.” Docu-series launches Sunday, March 22 at 10:00 p.m.

 

 

Surviving Marriage

There’s hardship ahead for couples on the brink of divorce in A&E’s Surviving Marriage, plopped on a remote island for extreme therapy. Left with no modern conveniences and limited food and water in the South Pacific, who left the toilet seat up is the least of their problems as pairs confront the issues that have torn them apart. The fourth season of ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey will be its last. With the lead characters married and ready to start a family, “It seemed like a natural time” to bring the net’s highest-rated comedy to a close, said Karey Burke, EVP, programming and development. The 100th episode of the comedy airs as the mid-season finale Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m.

If There Be Thorns

Killing Jesus

Killing Jesus, a three-hour television event, will premiere on Palm Sunday, March 29, at 8:00 p.m. on National Geographic Channel in the United States, globally in 171 countries in 45 languages and in Spanish on Nat Geo Mundo. The film is the third collaboration between NGC, Scott Free and Bill O'Reilly, whose first two projects together, Emmy-nominated Killing Kennedy and Killing Lincoln are respectively the two most-watched programs in the network's history. Combining epic cinematography with intimate storytelling, Killing Jesus was shot entirely in the Moroccan desert with a crew of 250 and more than 4,500 extras. The massive production, unlike anything undertaken by NGC before, puts familiar Biblical characters under a new lens to give them layers of meaning rarely explored before.

After exploring online streaming last year, the Daytime Emmys are heading back to television. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced Monday that the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will air live on newly-rebranded network Pop. Premier Boxing Champions

Spike TV locked in a pair for its upcoming Premier Boxing Champions series, adding five-time, world champion boxer Antonio Tarver and Bellator announcer Jimmy Smith to the crew to serve as color analysts for Spike TV’s inaugural season. Long Island Medium

The sixth go-round of TLC’s Long Island Medium debuts Sunday, March 8 at 9:00 p.m., with a one-hour premiere focused on Theresa Caputo’s 25th wedding anniversary.
